In the last episode of Dancing on Ice, the TV show where celebrities are paired off with professional ice skaters, one professional had to lift his partner up above his head. During the practice sessions, the celebrity was asked to trust in her partner but she was too terrified; so she held on to her partner's shoulder for dear life. The commentator said if she lets go during the actual performance, it will be beautiful.
On the night, she did let go and let her partner spin her and it was beautiful to watch.
I believe confidence and trust are perfect dance partners who need each other. Trust gives you confidence and the more confidence you have the more you trust.
